This week we've been enjoying spring-like weather again,
and even made two trips to the ocean. We had so much fun.
On the way home the first day we made a quick stop to a
place where you can see groups of seals sunning on
rocks. My little one wasn't impressed, but this
was one time I really wish that I had a better
camera. I just need to be patient while I
continue to save for one.
Here is a screenshot of my bitmoji standing where the
river meets the ocean, which is where the seals hang out.
Wish I had a better photo to share, but since I don't
my likeness below will have to do :)
Recently I have been feeling the urge to away from NH,
but don't think I could leave the ocean behind. Has
anyone ever moved away from the ocean? Do you
miss behind able to hop in your car and
go whenever you like? Is there anyone
out there who has never seen the
ocean in person? I may never
leave NH, but life works in
mysterious ways!
Now it's time to get the party started! I know you
all have something wonderful to share!
Are you ready to find some new blogs to read?
And perhaps gain some new followers? Or
maybe you'd like to grow your social

your Etsy shop?

Let's party!
Paula, it's funny you asked about the ocean...I grew up in Pennsylvania so we visited the Jersey shore every summer. Now that I am in Upstate NY, I haven't been to the ocean in years. My kids (ages 5 and 7) have never seen the ocean in person. We do go to Lake Ontario often and that is what they know as the "beach" but they have never been to the oceanside. I think I need to make that happen for them soon.

Hi Shelbee! I've never been to the Jersey Shore! I think you should plan a family trip to where you used to go as a child. I think it's so nice to share things you experienced as a child with your own children. Thanks for sharing..hope you have a great weekend :)
DeleteSounds lovely Paula. We have the snow here at the minute. I can not wait for warmer weather. Thanks for hosting :)
ReplyDeleteHi Claire! I did hear that there was a snowstorm over your way! Hopefully it melts quick! We still have some snow chances, but I hope it stays all rain. I'm done lol. Thanks for linking up! Happy Snowy Weekend :)
DeleteI can't imagine leaving the coast now, but I was actually in fifth grade before I ever saw the ocean. We've been here for over twenty years, and our kids also love the area and want to stick around. If they stick, I'm stickin' too!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele! If all my kids were to stay in this area I wouldn't think of leaving, but my daughter is already off to Colorado, and my son talks about going "up north". I have two more to go so I guess it would all depend on where they end up and who needs me most lol. Thanks for sharing with the party! Have a lovely weekend :)
DeleteI live on a town that is on the ocean and I wouldn't want to move away. I have lived here all my life and it would be so odd to not be able to see the ocean everyday! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHi Patrick! That's so nice that your town is on the ocean! I'm less than an hour away, but closer would be nice. Thank you for linking up..Happy Weekend :)
DeleteI love the ocean, and live near enough that I can day-trip, which is enough for me. I think the way you feel about the ocean is the way I feel about the mountains. I live right at the base of Mt. Rainier's foothills in Washington State. For one year in college, I moved to another area (ironically, closer to the ocean), and I missed those mountains so much!!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe it's March already! I hope it's a great month for you!
ReplyDeleteTime marches on..too fast! But that means summer is gonna be here before we know it! Thank you for linking up. Have a great weekend :)
DeleteHappy March!!! Thanks for hosting your amazing party. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappy March to you as well! I appreciate you sharing with the party! Have a wonderful weekend :)
DeleteI love the ocean, only rarely visit. Thank you Paula for bringing back good memories and hosting your 274th No Rules Weekend party.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Hi Joy! At least you've been able to visit the ocean. And rarely going makes it more special when you are there. Thank you for linking up! Have a lovely weekend :)
DeleteSo jealous of your ocean visits! I'm following you over on Twitter as MisadvntrMegan!
ReplyDeleteHi Megan! You'll have to plan a trip one day! Thank you for the follow..I've followed back, and thanks for linking up! Have a great weekend :)
DeleteI like your bitmoji. Very nice! 😀 We don't live nearby an ocean but we can do a trip to somewhere close by if we really had the urge. Unfortunately with the weather being so cold, the ocean doesn't seem super appealing right now. Thank you for the link up and happy Thursday!

Hello Maureen! Since the weather's been going back and forth here from winter to spring and back again, I decided to take the spring-like days for my beach days. Otherwise I wouldn't even think about going! Thanks for sharing with the party..Have a terrific weekend :)
DeletePaula, I've lived on both coasts and the Gulf of Mexico and now I live in the desert Southwest. They all have their beauty, but there is something special about the ocean, isn't there?! By the way, I was born in Dover, NH. Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteWow Donna that sounds exciting! And I'm less than an hour from Dover..very pretty area. Thank you for linking up! Have a wonderful weekend :)
DeleteThank you for the party. Hope you have a great week!

DeleteThanks for the party, Paula!
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh! I appreciate you sharing with the party! Have a great weekend :)
DeleteHi Paula! One of the posts I shared at today's party is about preparing for snowstorms. We had one yesterday and I think you probably got it - at least the winds - too? I am in Upstate NY. We had that springlike weather last week but "back to reality" here! In addition to my storm prep post I shared a collection of pretty and practical tote bags for busy moms plus my newest favorite low-carb recipe for loaded cheese crisps. They taste great!
ReplyDeleteHi Sinea! Thank you for sharing your fantastic posts! We did get the same storm as you, but instead of snow it was lots of rain and wind with extremely high tides at the coast. And they're saying snow again this coming week. Right now I'm trying to ignore that forecast. Hope you're having a great weekend :)
DeleteLove the bitmoji of you. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Patrick! Hope you're having a fantastic weekend as well :)
DeleteWe live about an hour/ hour and half from the coast and I can't imagine moving so far away that I could not make a day trip there. We enjoyed spring like weather the past week too until Friday hit with a huge storm and we lost power for a few days. Let me tell you it was pretty chilly without our regular heating system. Thank goodness for the woodstove and fireplace!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness you lost power :( That is always a stressful thing. Especially when it's not just a few hours, but days. Thankfully you have other heating options. Hopefully all is back to normal now! Thank you for sharing with the party :)
