Hope you all had a wonderful week! This week we had
a bit of an icy spell. Makes for dangerous driving,
but a pretty coating of ice was left behind
on all the branches.
Lately I've been thinking of working on my photography
skills and wanted to try and capture a photo of the
ice on a branch. It was pretty slippery out in my
yard, but I managed to get out there and get
a photo. Not sure what I think about it,
but I do like the details. Here is the
photo below:

ReplyDeleteThank you! I was new to learning when I became discouraged so I still have a long way to go. Thanks for stopping by..have a great weekend :)
DeleteWow, you captured an awesome image, Paula. A true artist takes all the risks and ends up with a great result!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Michele! When I capture something good it inspires me to keep trying. Thank you for linking up..have a wonderful weekend :)
DeleteLive through one of the worst ice storms years ago in upstate New York...no picnic!...thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzy! Was that in 2008? If so we were in that zone as well. We were without power for almost 2 weeks. And the lines at the gas stations were so long because everyone was filling gas cans for their generators. Not a fun time with kids, and I hope that doesn't happen again. Thank you for sharing with the party! Happy weekend :)
DeleteNow you have a January Ice on Branch picture to check back on to remember the ice. Keep safe. Thanks Paula for your 269th No Rules Weekend Party, always appreciated. Keep cozy.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Hi Joy! Yes it will be nice to look at and remember the icy weather. The little bit of snow left in our yard has an icy layer on top. Not the best for walking outside right now. Thank you for sharing..have a lovely weekend :)
DeleteI like the photo. It's always humbling to take photos. I realize how hard it is to capture what I feel when I'm looking at it IRL.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that it's difficult to capture what you're feeling and seeing. That's why I'm going to practice, practice, practice! Thank you for sharing with the party! Have a terrific weekend :)
DeleteI love that photo!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Most photos I take that are "good" are usually by accident, but I hope to change that lol. Thanks for linking up. Have a wonderful weekend :)
DeleteThanks for the party Paula! Beautiful photo!

ReplyDeleteMoving away from the ocean would be a tough decision. I have been to the west coast and many beaches there, love North Carolina, but that it.
ReplyDeleteWish I lived closer I love how calming it is!!
