We are now a few days into 2017 and the decorations
are packed away, and the snow that we did have
has disappeared. I'm pretty sure we will get more
snow this winter, and there's always something
to celebrate in my family so the fun will continue.
Last January I followed the trend with choosing
a word of the year that would be my mantra. I
really had good intentions to let this word guide
me, but that didn't turn out so well.
I should have known this would happen as I have
never been able to follow through with a New
Year's resolution, so this year my intentions
will be to just try to do the best I can with
everything I do.
Have you made a New Year's resolution or chosen
a word of the year? Leave me a comment and
share your thoughts on this!
Now it's time to share what you've been up to below!
Are you ready to find some new blogs to
read, and perhaps gain some new followers?
Or maybe you'd like to grow your social networks,

Come join the fun :)

DeleteI love the idea of picking a word as a resolution. I'm still thinking about which one. It might be...choice.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I do like the thought of choosing one word for the New Year. Now I'm second guessing myself about not choosing one. I'm undecided now lol. Happy New Year to you, and I'll be looking forward to seeing what word you choose if you decide to pick one :)
DeleteI decided on "listen" for my word this year. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteCarrie

ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I think I've made the most of the first five days of the new year. Let's hope the next 360 turn out just as good lol. Happy 2017 to you also!!
DeleteI'm not usually any good at keeping new year's resolutions either. I thought about choosing a word for the year but figured I wouldn't keep with that either. I did try to set a few small goals and resolved for a few things NOT to do this year.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like me! Whatever you chose to do I wish you a Happy 2017 :) Thanks for linking up!
DeleteThanks for the party and Happy New Year! I didn't purposely choose a word for this year but Kindness kept coming to me. I guess I will try that this year!
ReplyDeleteKindness is always a good thing to practice. I don't think you'll have a difficult time pulling that off :) Happy New Year and thank you for linking up!
DeleteHappy New Year! I am with you on just trying to do the best I can as a resolution :) Thanks for hosting!

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting and for stopping by OMHGFF this week.
See you soon! :)
You're the second one to chose "kindness" as a word and that is perfect! I think I will add that to my list along with "joy" which was mentioned by Shelbee above. Thank you for sharing each week Karren :)
DeleteHappy New Year and I am going with the word "Peace" as in Peace to me, Peace to you and Peace to all beings.

DeleteThis comment is for Number 16 on your list - I can't leave a comment as I'm not any of those things that will let me leave a message. It's good to see you again Paula for a while back in 2016 I thought you had stopped Blogging.
ReplyDelete"Great Blog, I must remember to put this on the to buy list for my Nephew and Niece's birthday" Linda
